Why this rule exists
Not every situation can be covered by written rules. Staff are expected to use fairness, consistency, common sense, and the best interests of the community when handling situations that are not explicitly addressed within this handbook.
Official Policy
Our staff may enforce rules, policies, and penalties as necessary to maintain a fair, consistent, and enjoyable roleplay environment. Staff decisions are made using common sense, available evidence, and the best interests of the community.
Enforcement
Depending on the severity of the violation, enforcement may include:
- Warning
- Temporary Suspension
- Permanent Removal
Enforcement decisions consider the severity of the violation, prior history, intent, available evidence, and the overall impact on the community.
🤝 Respect Everyone
Why this rule exists
Every player deserves to enjoy the community without harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or unnecessary hostility. Healthy disagreement is expected, but personal attacks have no place within Aeon Roleplay.
Official Policy
All members are expected to treat players, staff, and community members with respect at all times, both in-game and within the community.
The following behavior is prohibited:
- Personal attacks
- Harassment or bullying
- Intimidation
- Toxic or abusive behavior
- Targeted harassment
- Hate speech or discriminatory language
Respectful discussions, constructive criticism, and good-faith feedback are always encouraged.
Examples
✅ Respectfully disagreeing with another player.
✅ Reporting concerns through the proper support channels.
❌ Continuing personal arguments after a roleplay scenario has ended.
❌ Harassing another player in Discord.
❌ Targeting someone because of previous interactions.
Remember: Respect doesn't require agreement. Treating others with courtesy—even during disagreements—helps create a stronger community for everyone.
🚫 Zero Tolerance Conduct
Why this rule exists
Certain behaviors undermine the safety, inclusiveness, and integrity of our community. To ensure Aeon remains welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, these actions are never permitted.
Official Policy
The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate administrative action:
- Racism
- Sexism
- Homophobia
- Transphobia
- Hate speech or slurs
- Threats of violence
- Harassment or discrimination targeting protected groups
Immediate Action
Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the community without prior warning, depending on the severity of the offense.
Examples
✅ Treating every player with respect regardless of their background or identity.
✅ Reporting discriminatory behavior through the proper support channels.
❌ Using slurs, hateful language, or discriminatory remarks.
❌ Threatening or encouraging violence toward another player.
❌ Harassing or targeting someone because of their race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristic.
🎂 Age Requirement
Why this rule exists
Aeon Roleplay is designed for mature storytelling, serious roleplay, and adult themes that require responsible and respectful players.
Official Policy
Aeon Roleplay is an 18+ community.
All players must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
Providing false information about your age or attempting to bypass this requirement may result in immediate removal from the community.
Examples
✅ Joining the community only if you meet the minimum age requirement.
✅ Being honest with staff if your age is ever verified.
❌ Misrepresenting your age to gain access to the server.
❌ Assisting or encouraging underage players to bypass the age requirement.

Age Requirement
This policy exists to help maintain a mature, respectful, and enjoyable roleplay environment for everyone.
If staff reasonably believe a player does not meet the minimum age requirement or has misrepresented their age, they may request verification or remove the player from the community.
💬 Discord Participation
Why this rule exists
Discord serves as the primary hub for announcements, support, community updates, and important server information. Staying connected helps ensure everyone has access to the latest news and expectations.
Official Policy
Members are expected to remain in the official Aeon Roleplay Discord server and regularly review important updates, including:
- Server announcements
- Rule updates
- Community news
- Staff communications
Staying informed is part of being a responsible member of the community.
Failure to read announcements, handbook updates, or rule changes will not exempt a player from enforcement.
Players are also expected to:
- Use the appropriate Discord channels for discussions and support.
- Follow all posted Discord rules.
- Maintain respectful communication with other members.
- Avoid spamming, excessive pinging, or disruptive behavior.
Players are responsible for ensuring they remain informed of official announcements, handbook updates, and community notices published through Discord.
Examples
✅ Reading announcements and handbook updates before playing.
✅ Using the correct Discord channels for questions, reports, and support.
✅ Keeping conversations respectful and constructive.
❌ Ignoring important announcements or rule changes.
❌ Spamming channels, excessive pinging, or disrupting discussions.
❌ Using support channels for unrelated conversations or arguments.
Important
Discord Participation
Official announcements, handbook updates, and rule changes are considered communicated once they are posted in the official Aeon Roleplay Discord.
Not reading or overlooking an announcement does not exempt a player from following updated rules, policies, or handbook changes.
👮 Staff Interactions
Why this rule exists
Staff members are responsible for maintaining a fair, consistent, and enjoyable roleplay environment. Respectful communication helps resolve issues professionally while ensuring every player receives fair treatment.
Official Policy
Players are expected to interact with staff respectfully at all times.
The following expectations apply:
- Follow reasonable staff instructions during active situations.
- Do not argue disciplinary actions or staff decisions in public channels.
- If you believe a decision was made in error, use the official appeal process rather than arguing publicly.
- Harassment, intimidation, or targeted abuse toward staff members is prohibited.
- Impersonating staff or falsely claiming to represent staff decisions is prohibited.
Examples
✅ Ask for clarification respectfully.
✅ Submit an appeal through the proper process.
✅ Remain calm and cooperative during staff interactions.
❌ Insult or harass staff members.
❌ Encourage others to target or harass staff.
❌ Continue arguing after a staff decision has been made instead of using the appeal process.
Important
Staff Decisions & Appeals
If you disagree with a staff decision, remain respectful and use the official appeal process.
Public arguments, harassment, or refusing to cooperate during active staff situations may result in additional disciplinary action.
🎮 Cheating & Exploits
Why this rule exists
Fair gameplay depends on every player following the same rules and mechanics. Cheating or exploiting gives an unfair advantage, damages the roleplay experience, and undermines the integrity of the community.
Official Policy
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Using third-party software, cheats, hacks, or unauthorized modifications.
- Exploiting server bugs or unintended mechanics.
- Abusing game systems for personal gain.
- Exploiting administrative or internal server systems.
- Attempting to bypass server restrictions or disciplinary actions.
If you discover an exploit or bug, you are expected to report it immediately through a support ticket.
Knowingly withholding or abusing an exploit is considered a violation of this policy.
Attempting to exploit a bug or unintended mechanic—even if unsuccessful—may still result in disciplinary action.
Examples
✅ Reporting bugs or exploits through a support ticket.
✅ Waiting for staff guidance after discovering an unintended mechanic.
✅ Using server systems and mechanics as intended.
❌ Using third-party cheats, hacks, or unauthorized software.
❌ Intentionally abusing bugs or exploits for personal gain.
❌ Sharing exploits instead of reporting them to staff.
Immediate Action
The use of third-party software, malicious exploits, or intentional abuse of server systems may result in immediate permanent removal from Aeon Roleplay.
Important
If you discover a bug, exploit, or unintended game mechanic, stop using it immediately and report it through the appropriate support channel.
Continuing to use or share an exploit after becoming aware of it may be treated as intentional abuse.
