👤 Character Creation ​

Creating someone worth remembering begins with giving them a story worth telling.

Your character is more than a name or appearance.

They're the person you'll become every time you step into Aeon.

The most memorable roleplay characters aren't superheroes.

They're believable people with goals, strengths, flaws, fears, and room to grow.

🌎 Start With A Person ​

Before choosing a job, buying a car, or chasing money, think about the person behind the character.

Ask yourself:

  • Who are they?
  • Where did they come from?
  • Why did they move to San Andreas?
  • What do they hope to accomplish?
  • What motivates them?
  • What are they good at?
  • What do they struggle with?

Remember

Perfect characters are rarely the most memorable.

Give your character strengths to rely on, flaws to overcome, and room to grow.

🎭 Give Them Personality ​

People are remembered because of who they are—not what they own.

Personality shapes how your character responds to the world—and how the world responds to them. Sometimes it's the smallest traits that create the biggest roleplay moments.

Ask yourself:

  • 😊 Are they friendly or reserved?
  • 💪 Are they confident or nervous?
  • 🤝 Are they honest or manipulative?
  • ⚡ Are they patient or impulsive?
  • 🌤️ Are they optimistic or cynical?
  • 😂 Do they joke often or stay serious?

Personality Tip

You don't need to define every detail on day one.

Let your character's personality develop naturally through their experiences in Aeon.

🎯 Give Them Goals ​

Goals give your character a reason to keep moving forward.

Whether they're big or small, goals create opportunities for roleplay and give your character something to strive for.

Consider goals like:

  • 🏪 Opening a business
  • 👮 Joining law enforcement
  • 💰 Paying off debt
  • 🏡 Buying a home
  • 🏆 Becoming known across the city
  • ⚖️ Becoming a respected attorney
  • 🕶️ Building a criminal organization

Goals don't have to stay the same. As your character grows, their priorities and ambitions may change too.

Goal Tip

The best goals aren't always the biggest ones.

Sometimes earning your first paycheck, buying your first car, or making your first friend creates the most memorable roleplay.

⚠ Give Them Flaws ​

No one is perfect—and your character shouldn't be either.

Flaws create conflict, challenge your character to grow, and often lead to the most memorable roleplay moments.

Consider flaws like:

  • 😬 Avoiding confrontation
  • 💸 Struggling to manage money
  • ⚡ Acting on impulse
  • 🤝 Trusting people too easily
  • 😳 Being uncomfortable speaking in public
  • 😡 Having a short temper
  • 🤔 Overthinking important decisions

Flaws don't make your character weak—they make your story stronger.

Growth Tip

A good flaw shouldn't prevent your character from succeeding.

It should give your character opportunities to learn, adapt, and grow.

📖 Your Backstory ​

Your backstory explains how your character became the person they are today.

It doesn't need to be a novel. A few believable paragraphs are usually enough to give your character direction while leaving plenty of room for new stories to happen in Aeon.

As you build your backstory, ask yourself:

  • 🌎 Where did they grow up?
  • 👨‍👩‍👧 What was their family like?
  • 🎓 What experiences shaped them?
  • 🚗 Why did they come to San Andreas?
  • 🎯 What are they hoping to build here?

Leave room for your character's biggest moments to happen inside Aeon—not before they arrive.

Story Tip

Your backstory is the beginning of your story—not the entire story.

The best memories are the ones you'll create while playing.

🚫 Avoid Common Mistakes ​

Not every character needs to be extraordinary.

In fact, the most memorable roleplay often comes from ordinary people facing extraordinary situations.

Try to avoid creating characters who are:

  • 🏆 Experts at everything from day one
  • 💰 Wealthy without a believable explanation
  • 🏛️ Connected to every major organization in the city
  • 🎬 Direct copies of movie, TV, or game characters
  • 🎮 Focused on "winning" rather than creating roleplay

Believable characters have strengths, weaknesses, successes, and setbacks.

Story Reminder

You don't have to be the richest, strongest, or most powerful character to create great roleplay.

The journey is always more interesting than the destination.

🤝 Let Your Character Grow ​

One of the best parts of roleplay is watching your character grow over time.

The people they meet, the choices they make, and the experiences they have should shape who they become.

Growth often comes through:

  • 🤝 Friendships
  • 💔 Failures
  • 🏆 Successes
  • 🌧️ Losses
  • ⭐ Achievements

Those moments are what make your story uniquely yours.

Remember

You don't need the perfect character on day one.

Some of the best roleplay characters begin with only a simple idea and naturally grow through their interactions with others.
